Jaguar C-X17 SUV slowly revealed ahead of Frankfurt...

Long rumored, and a part to the downfall of the C-X75,the Jag SUV is finally geting stage time in frankfurt.Described by Jag as a design study and a demostration of their new 'PLA' or Premium lightweight architecture, the concept runs on the frame which will eventually underpin both the SUV it previews and the segment 3-series rival 'XS'...

The 'all new architecture' seems strange to me as if i were a money conscious Jag,I would be borrowing heavily from the SUV builder and sisiter company Land Rover for building this car.An all new platform seems somewhat excessive when the resources are available...

On the design front its familiar Jag’. Anyone who worried that this would be ugly is either a chronic pessimist or just doubtful of the brand. I knew when this broke cover it would be one of the better looking cars in this segment. Cues from XF, F-Type and everything in between can be seen littered on this car, and thats no bad thing. Expect it to be positioned as an X3 rival when it goes into production and to borrow engine-wise from a range of JLR products.
